Wifi drops

Sky broadband since may 25. TV furthest from hub loses wifi connection several times a day and Zoom meetings in the same room as the hub often lose wifi at least once. 2 max pods, an engineer visit, a new hub and it still happens. Wifi is strong in every room according to the engineer, even without the pods. Any ideas?

@G.+Hamilton If the Engineer said you do not need the pods then turn them off unless you don't beleive... Sky Max have a look at the wireless wif securities setting, link below explains.

Re: Wifi drops

Many thanks . I have removed the pods. I will look at security settings but we have done everything to improve the signal including moving all the furniture around in the room furthest from the hub.

Re: Wifi drops

@G.+Hamilton Sometimes you just have to go back to the basic's, a single sky Max hub may struggle to push the wifi signal everywhere that is needed, that can be bacause off chosen location ie, at one side off the house, after that if speed or stability is a problem in the missing area then a sky Mesh pod would be required.... The chosen location has to be somewhere that the POD can reach the main Hub, they need to be able to connect to each other....

TO much mesh wireless can be just as bad as not enough, at times it can be a fine balance between devices and operation!
