Wifi constantly dropping

The WiFi is totally unstable. Up and down constantly. I've had a sky engineer at the house and they claim to have resolved it but it's worse now than ever and is literally dropping all of the time.
I don't need [removed] to be told to unplug, reboot, check cables etc. I need another engineer onsite to get me the service I pay a lot of money for.
it's a standard 4 bed detached house. Nothing special and as said it's worse than ever which means it used to be fine!!!

Re: Wifi constantly dropping

@Baggies+Fan Nothing worse than an Intermittent fault that is hard to put the finger on especially for an OR Engineer unless you get one off the Old School with Line and copper knowledge and the experience to deal with it all, been there done it and suffered 3 months of many visit's took the Engineer 3 hours, back traced it bit by bit, never looked back after that!

Getting one is going to be the hard part now you really want a phone engineer specialist they by far are the best....

If you do wish to post your stat's up will take a look, if not it's the call to sky or run the diagnostics by yourself! Links are all below!

Try running the line test here to see if any faults are found:

@Baggies+Fan

So have you rung Sky to report the issue has worsened and to arrange another engineer visit? The agent will no doubt wish to do some troubleshooting first.

Re: Wifi constantly dropping

Thanks.  I've done the line tests and no surprise it says all is great. So it's the kit in the house that despite what they say is just unable to serve wifi beyond 10yrds without hitches.

Re: Wifi constantly dropping

I will be doing that. But 'things to do' just now.

my broadband contract has expired and so it's suspicious that it drops and a full fibre upgrade is available!

I might explore BT and other broadband options and drop my Sky bundle to TV only. Time to check out the options.

Re: Wifi constantly dropping

@Baggies+Fan Not going to say to much about it but ONE year in the EE wilderness was way more than enough for me, and straight back to sky!
