Wifi but certain items not connecting

As per title, shows i have wifi but certain items i.e laptops, say connected but won't connect to Internet. I have a range extender and if I connect through that it is fine. Also find the same issue with mobile phones. Any ideas ?

@Tmo2 using a third party WiFi extender can cause these issues as devices can show they are connected to the WiFi but thecextender is not connected to the hub which is the opposite of what your post is saying. What colour hub do you have and what extender are you using?

Hi it's the white hub and a  TP link extender. All has been fine until recently. 

If i check my cameras which are linked to the hub they are fine most of the time, recently struggling to connect to live view, same with the mobile phone, just doesn't like connecting to internet
