My family is relying on me to FIX THE WIFI!
But can someone tell me where I might start?
Scenario:
All green lights stay on router
Phones and TV drop out of wifi and switches to data on phones.
PC plugged inot router does not drop out.
Service checker says everything is FINE!
After a short time normally Wifi kicks back on.
Sometimes this happens multiple times a day.

Every home is different as its layout, type of construction and proximity of neighbours vary. First thing to try is optimise wherectge hub is. Ideally it should be as high in the room as you can get it definitely not on the floor. Things like people, furniturecand wordt of all radiators all reduce or block the signal.
Second is to download a free app called wifi sweetspots onto a mobile phone which measures thecwifi speed between the hub and where the device is. Walk round you home checking for the best places and the worst. You mayconcludecthat you need more kit than the basic hub Sky gave you. You can buy one of their upgrades like Broadband Boost which gets you a basic boister if you ask for one or their new Wifi Max bundle which gives you a new **bleep**e Sky hub and up to 3 extender units if an engineer agrees you need one. You can also buy one of the many third party wifi kits but before doing so post afain as not every one of those play nicely with Sky broadband.
If you suspect the issue maybe due to interference from neighbours especially if you live in a flat or similar try unpluggingbthe hub for a minute and then letting it restart as then it will try to find the best channel potentially giving you points for technical wizzardry but be prepared to do that frequently

Ok - I have used Sweetspot App and the range is quite diverse throughout the house.
In some spots its moving up and down!?
I have a broadband boost and two Sky Q mini boxes (Which I read can act as a wifi booster)
Do you think it could be a set up matter to link all these items? I do have cabels coming from the router to upstairs and to the kitchen from the router in the study.
Any thoughts?
