WiFi

I'm a new sky customer. My WiFi was delivered recently and I've been trying to connect to my hub. However, every time I do (with the password on the back of hub) it says incorrect password. I've double checked on numerous ocassions to ensure I'm case sensitive but still no luck.

I have tried resetting but this didn't work either. I've tried to contact people at sky but haven't been successful.

Re: WiFi

@Elle35 Is this every wireless device or just the one that has an issue!

Re: WiFi

Every wireless device I've tried has been the same. Just keeps saying incorrect password.

Re: WiFi

@Elle35 What hub do you have from sky, the label on the back off the hub has the sky name "ssid" does that match what you see to what is on the label!   Little l letter L can often look like a 1 etc

New hub also comes with a card with all the details on it, make sure everything is a match!

Re: WiFi

Both the information on the card matches the information on the back of the black hub. I've tried maybe using capitals or numbers in the password to check there wasn't a typo - still didn't work. I've had the hub for over a month and haven't been able to use it.

Re: WiFi

@Elle35 If you have not had any changes too the password on that Sky Broadband Hub, suggest you factory reset the hub. That should make it all match up as an out off box unit.

Re: WiFi

I did a factory reset. That didn't fix the problem either.

Re: WiFi

@Elle35 Would suggest then if you cannot make it work you have had it for a month what have you been doing if nothing has ever connected, just using wired! Call sky and explain to them what is going on, never ever once had a sky issued hub that the SSID and password on the card and label did not match, although first thing i do is logon too the hub and change all the SSID, wireless password and the admin password from the default to what is required....

@Elle35

If you are seeing an error about entering the wrong Wifi password then make sure you are not getting a 1 and l or a 0 and O muddled as it is quite easy to do this. It must also be entered as show on the hub itself so use upper case letting if required.
