WiFi signal

Hi, I've just joined sky 2 days ago I've set sky hub up but the signal around my house is awful. I've done all the tests on/ off reset but still awful and help would be much appreciated

@Paul26071980 first make sure your new Sky hub is in the best position so its WiFi signal is not being blocked. That is out in the open away from other electronic kit and on a surface above obstructions like radiators. If you have a full fibre service and tge cable Sky provided to link to the ONT is too short to acieve thst swap it for a longercethernet cable which you can buy locally.

 

Assuming you have the hub in the best possible position the layout and type of construction of your home means somecrooms dont getva usable signal which is the situation in many homes especially if they are older with solid internal walls. You nedd extra kit Sky will sell you their WiFi Max bundle which can includecup to 3cextender pods if an engineer agrees they are necessary.

 

You can alternatively buy your own home WiFi system with multiple satellite units which can work out cheaper in the long run but if you decide to do that post again as not every system plays nicely with every Sky service. Include whether you are in the UK or Ireland, the name of Sky service you buy and what tupe of use you need like gaming in bedrooms, streaming video etc.
