WiFi keeps dropping

I have recently switched to sky from BT, the router I have is white with a single led in the lower centre(hub?). Mainly in the kids bedrooms the WiFi and internet keep cutting out, it's at different times of day and can be during the week or weekends. I have reset the hub, checked 2.4ghz and 5ghz are merged. Sometimes it even happens in the lounge, same room as the router. Does anyone have any thoughts? I've tried using the FAQ and virtual assistant, but each time it comes back as connection is ok.

Re: WiFi keeps dropping

@JonMWilliams84 Is it all devices when it happens, ie everything is gone and NOTHING is getting to the internet at that time?

Would also look at that sky Max hub and see what the wireless securities is on it ie WPA3-T as it's default, see the link below if you need that!

Sky Max change settings link.

Re: WiFi keeps dropping

@JimM1 it's not always on all devices, this evening it was and my Nest Camera wasn't reconnecting. Mostly it's on one or two devices at a time (normally one kids tablet and one kids phone). Ok, I'll check the security is there an option that's better than another? Thanks

Re: WiFi keeps dropping

@JonMWilliams84 It's all down to devices, the -T is transitional to help WPA2 and WPA3 devices is a go between and can be very unstable for wireless devices, i have 3 devices that can work on WPA3 and 17 that are pure WPA2, my router's and AP's are all set for WPA2-PSK,,,,

A WPA2 device will NOT work on a WPA3 setting, you want WPA3 pure, the none -T then every device has to be changed, and that is never going to happen!
