WiFi intermittent

We have had awful WiFi since coming back to Sky from Virgin. Previously the service was ok but since returning it's awful. We had an engineer who said it was due to thickness of the walls. However, that can't be true as the service was much better before. We have a white sky hub and a booster/router in the hallway. I'm not sure what else to do. We both wfh so I've taken to using mobile data from my mobile for work but video calls, printing, using mobile phone apps etc are impossible. Please help.

@ArleneMac  Do the lights on the router change colour when this issue happens?

No. I have one little white light at the front of the hub which stays white. Thanks for asking

I'm having the same problem. Sky internet/wifi is hopeless. The app says everything is fine when it absolutely is not fine. 

Seems to be no way to sort it with any human being!

I'll be moving to another provider once the term is up.

@ArleneMac What service do you have from sky, with the white Sky Max hub, working in the same room that is in then you should expect that to be good, if not turn the pod off to see if it is better!

Thanks for your reply. I have a white Sky Hub. It's called Sky full Fibre 150 I think. It was sold as better than what I had before. 
which 'pod' do I switch off please? 
the hub is in the living room with the sky box. We work at different parts of the house but the printer, the phones and the little one's tablet don't work sometimes even in the same room.

@ArleneMac Before you do anything have a look at the sky max hub settings, and to do so you have to use the app via a mobile, the settings are for wireless wi-fi and default is one off the WPA3 modes, but there will be one for WPA2-PSK, the older protocol, been about for years and works really good. Going to see what else will help. you say sky box, do you mean Sky Q for Satellite Dish system or Sky Streaming puck?

@ArleneMac About the hubs and the boosters, hub is known and you have the sky Max hub. Do take a look at the boosters though so you can see and confirm from the pictures!

It's a Sky Q for satellite dish. Thank you so much for your help and patience. I have little free time at the moment to deal with all this.

@ArleneMac Do not be scared to change it, older devices have a real hard time working and being stable on a network with that, it is also so easy to change it back if required. Read the link that i sent about it. When time free's up just post back, or tag me with the @JimM1

That helped resolve the printer issue. Thank you so much. My husband still got thrown out of online meetings today and has to keep checking that emails are sending as they don't send most of the time. Is there much more we can try? Thanks again @JimM1
