Here's my update
im no longer a sky broadband user 🕺🏽 🎉
after having countless conversations with various people I've switched.
i was promised discounted prices due to the lack of broadband which wasn't followed through with. I was then cut off because I didn't pay the incorrect bill that they were attempting to charge me as no discount was applied. I then spoke with customer retentions who got it put back on as I've got a young family and another on the way so would have caused stress and alarm, otherwise I don't think they would have. I was promised a phone call the next week as they were doing a listen back to say everything had been waived as the person had told me on the phone. Nobody called.
so now I've switched to Vodafone and have wonderful 889 mb speed 🙂
intrestingly I may have had isssues with the ONT as it was struggling to connect but the check on the fibre line worked out and gave a good reading. Something that an engineer, if sent out could have rectified there and then
Thank you to everyone who attempted to help, I just wish SKY would have sent someone out and this might not have been an issue
