I live in a rural area with no mobile
network signal. The Sky agent assured me I would be able to make calls over WiFi before I moved here. I rely entirely on calls over WiFi in my home. I've got Sky full fibre. I lose the connection for calls over WiFi every single day and some days multiple times. I still have full Internet access during these call loss periods. For example, I can connect to my work and browse the Internet. I have a Samsung A34 with a Giffgaff sim. No one in Giffgaff or Sky support has been able to help me with this problem. Can anyone help
me please?

Check your WiFi Calling settings on the phone are set to "WiFi Preferred". Otherwise as soon as the phone detects the weakest of mobile signals, WiFi Calling will drop off.

Re: WiFi Calling Stops Working Every Day
Hi @MJG65
Is there another phone you can test it on by any chance? Do all devices behave fine when the issue occurs?

Re: WiFi Calling Stops Working Every Day
It's just me there with a single phone. It's a good question though and I'll check later when someone else will be there.

Hi. I've just tried wifi calling from another phone. An iPhone SE. It worked, but my Samsung A34 didn't ☹️

Ah, OK. I didn't know about that setting. I've just changed it. No one from Sky or Giffgaff suggested that. I'll monitor this now, but thanks so much.

Re: WiFi Calling Stops Working Every Day
Your solution worked for a few days, but now the problem is as bad as ever. I've even switched off mobile networks to try to force my phone to connect for calls over WiFi but it's not working. My phone is connecting and disconnecting randomly, but it's mostly disconnected. Is this a phone or WiFi problem?

Re: WiFi Calling Stops Working Every Day
That all seems rather odd. Next step would be to see what happens when the phone is connected to another WiFi network; friend/family/neighbour/work. If it still has issues then request a replacement SIM from GiffGaff. If not, it suggests an issue with Sky.
Do you have the white Max Hub? There are many reported issues with that, including WiFi Calling not working on iOS. But the intermittent nature suggests maybe a WiFi signal level. WHen WiFi Calling drops off, are you still able to browse the web on the phone?

Re: WiFi Calling Stops Working Every Day
Thanks for getting back to me. It's the black Q Hub. The wifi calling signal has just returned. It's completely random.
