WiFi 5G Connectivity dropping

Hi, I have a 500Mb broadband connection and a SkyHub 4.2 (SR203). Despite trying all possible combinations of settings on my router, the WiFi 5G seems to occasionally drop and stay off, causing all devices to switch to the 2.4G connection, which provides no more than 100Mb speed. After a restart, all settings seem to return to normal. However, it is extremely inconvenient to discover that I cannot use the full speed available through 5G. Additionally, when all devices are on 2.4G and connected, it seems that the speed is considered to be dropping on some of them.

For clarity, what you are referring to are the 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz frequency bands, not '5G' which is fifth generation cellular data (mobile phone) technology.

Re: WiFi 5G Connectivity dropping

Good morning,

Sorry for the typo. Indeed, I am referring to the frequency/internet speed, GHz.

Just for your reference, a couple of days ago I performed a reset on the hub, reconfigured it, and allowed for auto-negotiation between 2.4 and 5 GHz frequency. The first day everything was fine; today all devices have switched to 2.4 and 5 GHz seems to be down. Due to this, the TV has delays and sometimes freezes during buffering.
