Wi-Fi issues

Only had sky broadband for 2 months and I really wished I hadn't bothered changing my internet was superb when with Virgin never any drop outs , now it constantly drops , it loses WiFi signal on my phone when I'm in the living room , router is in the same place as my virgin box was , can any one help before the thing goes back to sky

Trying to get back to the orginal messages, moving the booster box has not helped .
