Why send cables but no hub

On 8th June I received a text message saying that I was getting a new sky conversion kit sent to me, the cables arrived but no hub. As this is going to be done remotely have I still to use my old hub with the new cables or what.

@Ginty74  If you have the Black Broadband Hub you use that when your Full Fibre service goes live, the ethernet cable plugs into the wan port on the hub and connects to the ONT ethernet port.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
