Which broadband for basic TV

We are moving into a new build house with broadband TV points for Sky.

we've never had sky before

we watch only BBC TV

We do not watch netflix or any other streaming service.

which package will allow me to watch live BBC TV (not through iplayer) over the point the builder has put in?

If you wish to watch 'broadcast' BBC television channels on Sky hardware over an internet connection then you need the Sky Stream television product plus broadband of at least the 'Superfast 35' variety (but there's no need for 'Ultrafast')

Sky will very happily sell you Broadband and Stream at the same time, but be aware they'll try to upsell the bundle and there's really no need when only BBC viewing is required: you will however be paying a subscription just to watch a Free to Air service.

Note that Sky Stream is different to the Sky satellite television product (Sky Q) which requires access to the signal from a satellite dish.

As @cookiemonsteruk indicates, it's not possible for us to advise on 'the point the builder has put in' without a photograph.
