I have received two WhatsApp messages stating that I am eligible for full fiber broadband and requesting a response within 7 days. Is this a scam?

Seems it was genuine, I finally got through to Sky and are being upgraded for free, happy days. Thanks for all your help .

Were those supposedly from Sky?
'eligible for full fiber broadband' just means someone (Openreach or an altnet) has put optical infrastructure into the area.

I would be cautious . Apparently sky do use whatsapp but the respond in 7 days is strang as any installation charges are recouped in the first 18 months
I would advise you call sky on 150 from your sky landline or

Yes it's supposedly from sky and is very believable, even with a very practised eye

If you put your address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker that should indicate if Openreach has got full-fibre infrastructure in the area, which is the only way Sky can deliver FTTP.

It's the table and the two text lines below it which are most useful.
Remove any personal information (such as the address itself) if you post an image.

Perhaps worth noting that moving a domestic connection from copper to fibre-optic is almost always 'free' because Openreach covers the first £2800 of physical installation work required at any address as part of their national network upgrade. That's not the same thing as no increase in the monthly cost paid by the subscriber to the ISP though.
