Re: Web page buffering
@Pual45 What speed package do you have from sky although you look ok you do appear to be set as 80/20 split but on a Full Fibre connection profile! so is it FF100 that you have? Apart from a 140ms upload delay nothing is un towards hub wise!

Re: Web page buffering
I have FF75.
I'm not a gamer, I don't need a high bandwidth. I don't download loads of stuff, occasional program software, reference surfing, i.e. gaining information about projects I'm doing, mainly 3D design for which I use PC based software, so no online apps used. Then in the bedroom (not that!) I'll stream a movie or TV series occasionally. The problem is every site I go to regardless whether I've visited before it will wait for around 20+ seconds (sometimes more) before the page even starts loading. Its ridiculous, as my SIM card, in my Wi-Fi mobile router is quicker. Started about two week after installation. Had Virgin Fibre before that and it was fine, only changed because price jumped up to a daft amount.

Re: Web page buffering
@Pual45 Got it now, tonight if you do not need Internet then switch the hub off before you go for the night, see if it paths another way for you. Before you start this do a www.whatismyipaddress.com and either note or capture the screen, then we will know if in the morning it has selected a new IP for you to work against.

Re: Web page buffering
Hi @JimM1,
Appologies for delay, I've been working away.
I did as you asked at beginning of the month, I've attached screen grabs. When first going to this site it had my location as London, which I've correct to my home town. Hope this helps. The delay in any web loading is beyond a joke 5s - 20s per page. It's even causing pages to time-out.

Re: Web page buffering
@Pual45 your images have been rejected at moderation because they show your IP addresses which is a security risk. If you repost having obscured the addresses they should pass.
The geographical lcation from IP addresses is approximate at best and given the way Sky allocate addresses means they can lag picking up your location.

Re: Web page buffering
@Pual45 Have you ever looked at what your broadband shield on your account is set at?

Re: Web page buffering
@Pual45 sorry I dont make the rules but never show anything in this or any open internet forum that can identify you. The forum software blocks most things but pictures have to be manually checked by either a Sky staff member or one of the senior forum superusers.
Of course if you prefer a company not to protect you plenty of outfits on the dark web who will be happy to oblige.

Re: Web page buffering
@Pual45 Just call sky, pass the security required and the sky agent will set your broadband shield since you are not able to do so yourself by getting to your sky account! If you are NOT the account owner then you are not going to get that done!

Re: Web page buffering
@JimM1 Hi,
Been on phone with SKY.
Broadband shield was enabled, It's now off.
As usual they said the line to house was fine and maybe my band width wasn't enough (the old up selliing trick).
Or maybe the amount of devices conected to my wifi (literally all smart light bulbs) were using the bandwidth up, "darn those bulbs surfing on the net" 😂
Any way, i'll wait and see for now if it's the shield.
I'm working away again from Friday, so I'll check in on my return.
Thnx for now. 👍

Re: Web page buffering
@Pual45 Takes the shield couple off hours, i always say just let it be 24hrs to filter through, you will find the OFF makes a difference though, the rest we can look at if/when you need to reachout!👍
