Hi. We had sky fibre installed this week. I asked for it to be installed in the living room, but the engineer said he couldn't drill through any internal walls and it had to go in the front room. Now the tv in the living room is buffering if we Watch anything on Netflix etc and my daughter's bedroom signal is on and off. Only the front room and bedroom above have a full signal. Living room has 1 to 2 lines, kitchen and bedroom above the living room the same, but the bedroom furthest away has a non existent signal. You've got to switch between mobile and Wi-Fi data sometimes because the signal just drops. The engineer said that sky provide boosters free of charge. If so how do I go about this? The router is over a metre up on top of a shelving unit with nothing to impede it.

Spoke to sky this morning. Weak Wi-Fi has been addressed with an added pod and we will see where that goes. As for the buffering on the tv that seems to be an issue with using firesticks, so all subscriptions have been added to the puck and an additional puck ordered for upstairs.

Re: Weak wifi
@MerylpaulChecking with Sky via the call centre would verify if you are able to get pod(s) at no extra cost.

Re: Weak wifi
It's the whole read we came from Virgin to sky was for the better reception. Virgin said you are entitled to have 4 free boosters, but when we tried to get them because we were entitled to them, they said because there was a slight signal we weren't entitled to them.

Re: Weak wifi
All ISPs put limits on availability of wireless booster hardware, no matter what they 'guarantee' because loaning such things knocks their already thin profit margin.
