Waiting on Openreach who've missed 7 visits.

I signed up for full fibre on 24 April. Open reach have missed 7 install visits since. I timed my new install with Virgin contract ending. I'm being charged double now because I'm out of contract.£79 a month for b/ band with Virgin. Sky just give me a new date and so on. This could go on for how long. Can anybody tell me. ??

A great deal longer, unfortunately, depending on the work which needs to be done.

If it's in the UK, putting the address into the BT Wholesale Availability Checker should indicate which broadband provisioning type is applicable.

https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL/AddressHome

It's the table and the two text lines below it which are most useful.

Remove any personal information (such as the address itself) if you post an image.

Sky Glass 55" (on ethernet) & two Stream Pucks (one ethernet / one WiFi)
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

Sorry I couldn't post a screenshot but it says wbc fttp is available .  Does this mean it just needs a quick connection. Or am I wishful thinking. Openreach missed their 8th visit today.

At the end of wbc fttp row what install stage is it 1 or 2?

Also could you just copy and past the first 5 lines or so of the notes.  The notes can help us

Hello, I'm not able to copy paste from that link. I'd upload screenshot but I cannot seem to do that either, sorry. The question you asked seems the answer is KC12 Assure. Unless I messed that up as well.

That means the external is done on a different day to the internal work , now to see why they've been dragging this out so long

The issue is partial in ground meaning that they need to use armoured cable to protect it from the elements etc.  This should not take this long and so many missed visits.  Best thing to do is next time you call sky ask them to generate a customer complaint number which they will submit to sky but you also email openreach with the complaint number in the subject header and tell them exactly what you've told us

Email clive.selley at openreach.co.uk.

Obviously remove the spaces and replace the at with @

Re: Waiting on Openreach who've missed 7 visits.

Ok it says  Single dwelling unit residential UG partial direct in ground.

FTTP is available and a new ONT may be ordered.

The exchange is not in a current fibre priority programme.

I Hope this helps.

Thats the best way.  Happening to me when contractors severed the fibre optic and took out 2 flats .  Their response oh we need to organise traffic lights and notify the council re digging up the road , i was like traffic lights and digging up roads in a block of flats  no you @#%?ing won't .
