I'm testing out, Netbird, Kasm, proxmox, defguard, open bsd, and nutanix

Now, what hardware you using? I need an unbranded router with AI and 12th gen ddr5 or better. Any help would be great, thank you

I bought an old thinkpad x380 yoga and installed fedora and runs really well compared to other distros. not only that i can run steam games on it but the hardware is outdated and im not one to upgrade a laptop compared to desktop enviroments

I will most likely spend 1k on setting up a mini desktop and have this run debian

But my main objective right now is to find a decent firewall router "unbranded" 12/13 gen ddr5 so i can run VMS via netbird (wireshark) on bare metal and proxmox vms for task managment.

But im interested in so much i dont know where to go and there is so many new companies coming up with awesome privacy tools i'll forever be testing all of them out.

I just wanna know what people have on their systems and what do you have running on your laptop and do u have any router firewall?

I use a BT Smart Hub 2 and Windows 10 or 11.

I've spent the past quarter century doing all sorts of weird IT things as a job, and don't feel the need to complicate the setup at home.

Every few years since late 1990s I've put a Linux distro on an old PC, stared at it for a few hours, and then decided life's not long enough.
