Wifi conditions can change due to interference which can from your own kit or from your neighbours. There are tools you can use to see what is going on one of the best is an app called Wifi Analyser which works on Android and shows you exactly what signals there are. Their strength and channel. Two dignals on the same orcadacent channels will interfear.

Can you get this device on Apple? I don't know if it the box all the cat 5 cables are going into which is why it's not working but I had engineers out various times and they are baffled. It usually works for a couple of days then drops off again

However you can usethe Apple Airport utility to see some info. It is on every IOS device but you need to set it up in the General Settings find the entry for the Airport utility and enable wifi scanning as shown below. When you open the app again click wifi scanning and it will list all the wifi networks the phone can see strongest at the top.
