I WFH and have been using the same Sky router for many months. Yesterday Watchguard SSL software stopped being able to open its own VPN. It works on a mobile phone on 4G/5G so something has changed with the Sky router. Broadband otherwise works. I've asked Co-Pilot and it states its a common known issue with Sky as there is no flexibility to switch off IPv6 on the Hub, and suggests I get my own router, which defeats the purpose of the Hub.

Update: after eventually managing to speak to a human by dialling 150 on the phone, it turned out Sky activated Broadband Shield on the day the failure occurred eithout informing me. They then deactivated it and told me the VPN block would be fixed. I had to reboot the Hub a couple of times and within an hour or so the problem was fixed.
Really, if they know people WFH they should inform them first of changes to the broadband line as I lost around half a day of working time with my company's IT department (who knew the issues was with Sky). If customers know upfront they can put two and two together and fix the issue quickly.
