VDSL Good Line access speed but very poor Ethernet speeds

Over the last few month my speed test results have been dropping.

On Monday evening the download dropped to below 1Mb/s - that's over an Ethernet connection.

(Picture attached)

I can honestly say this is the worst Internet speed I have ever experienced (and I have even been a Virgin media customer in the past!)

What can be causing this.
My line stats are very good - 79999Mb/s with 9dB margin.
Connected via Ethernet.

@EeepsWas the above test done on a device connected via Wi-Fi or a wired connection?

@Highlinder  Yes all tests via Ethernet.

Here's tonight's test...

Monitoring over the last few days using Ookla SpeedTest (cli) gives the following...

Anyone from Sky care to comment?

Seems quite clear to me.

Frankly, I thought I'd left this type of peak time congestion behind when I moved from Virgin - clearly not.

At least when on Virgin the 10% I get was 60Mb/s not the useless 10Mb/s I get now.

@Eeeps that is very unusual if your hub is connected at 80Mb/s as you would expect speeds around 72Mb/s assuming no other device on the network is using bandwidth and you have a standard ethernet connection not going via wifi ot powerline some of the way..

Run the connection test in the My Sky app as that may tell you there is an issue affecting your area. Where there is an issue with backhaul sometimes a temporary connection is used to keep some connectivity while a repair is done.If tha app reports no issue and that your hub is indeed connected at 80Mb/s I would call Sky and report the fault.
