Ordering new broadband with Sky Hub already installed

I have recently moved to a new home with Sky hub already installed and broadband running. I think it was left by the previous residents.

Then I ordered a new broadband package, and it automatically arranged an engineer visit to install the broadband and new hub.

I was wondering if it is necessary to have the engineer visit if the connection is already set up and running?

Re: Ordering new broadband with Sky Hub already installed

Hi @CptAmari. Yes the engineer will need to come and get you all set up with the right Hub for your package, unless the hub left behind is a really old Sky Hub 2.0 then we require all other Sky equipment to be returned at the end of the contract. The old residents will most likely start to receive emails to return the hub or they will be charged a non return fee. It is best to let the engineer come and get it all set up correctly. Hope this helps 🙂
