Hello, I recently had work done since upgrading to FTTP to bring the sky max router back to the center of the house and have two CAT6 Ethernet cables that connect from the modem to the router and then to my PC.
This has been great since I now have better signal and 100mbps download speed and very low ping when playing games.
However the only issue now is that I now get these sporadic 'packet loss' / 'packet burst' icons when im playing games despite my ping not changing from a low 20ish value.
Would anyone have any ideas or tips?
Thank you.

Next is the Sky hub having issues with workload it has no QOS abilitybso cannot prioritise gaming traffic so if therecare too many other loads you can get oing spikes,. Next is issues with the games server or the routing in general Sky have pretty good routing to UK servers . Lastly are possible line issues which while possible are rare.

So I have ruled out the possibility that its my ethernet, I am able to consistently ping my router with 0 packet loss, however there was one part of the day where when I pinged google.com I got 15% packet loss and then at midnight I pinged google.com with 0% packet loss.

That leaves the line which while possible is very difficult to get Sky to do anything about. If you have a black Sky hub can try setting up,a Broadband Quality Monitor using the public IP4 address as that should show line issues and is useful evidence when talking to Sky see https://www.thinkbroadband.com/broadband/monitoring/quality

Thank you Chrisee, thats very helpful, am I able to use it with the white sky max hub? I ask because initially its given me 100% packet loss which may mean ICMP is blocked?
