Unstable fibre connection

I've been on Sky full fibre with the superfast hub since November. Openreach put in the fibre connection. Ever since the connection has been unstable. I either get 500+ MBPS or less than 10. How can I get this resolved? I can't contact Openreach direct and trying to get hold of anyone at Sky is difficult to say the least. It's utterly frustrating. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks. Mike

@MJD70 first point is how are you measuring speeds? If it is over wifi it is likely all you end up measuring is thecspeed of the wifi connection between your hub and the device which can often be far slower than your  Ultrafast+ connection.

If you suspect thst the issue is the connection it is importnat to test using a known fast connection which would be on a device connected byba gigabit ethernet cable. Rarely there can be problems with the fubre service but far more common is poor wifi so thst has to be excluded before Sky are likely to take you seriously. It is very unlikely to becan issue within Openreachs part of the connection but they wont talk to end customers so everything has to go via Sky.

Re: Unstable fibre connection

Thank you for your response Chrisee. I take your point, but, even testing the speed with FAST surely it shouldn't fluctuate so wildly within 12 hours should it? This is not a new problem. I've had SKY engineers here on several occasions and they have confirmed it's an Openreach issue. Openreach have "rebuilt" the connection on at least 3 occasions. I guess I'll just have to persevere with trying to call SKY again.
