Unable to have kids gaming upstairs whilst watching TV downstairs!

whenever my son is gaming on his laptop upstairs his connection is poor and gameplay slow so we have to stop using sky streaming TV downstairs, when we turn the TV off his gaming speeds up and perofms properly - but we cant live like this!!! we have even now tried a TP link wi-fi extender and its even now wired to the laptop but still slow and we still have to have no TV when hes gaming...any thoughts/advice on this?? we are ending up hardly ever watching TV which isnt obvioulsy great!

What's the expected speed you should be getting for your broadband under your current package?  Also worth checking what speed you are getting as well to ensure it matches the expected or minimum speeed guarantee.

It sounds like your broadband speed just isn't fast enough to be able to support the streaming TV platform and gaming at the same time.
