Unable to connect

Hi

I have Sky Q, and am unable to connect my TV to the broadband. I can connect other devices to the broadband. Originally I connected via a Ethernet cable, but just recently have changed my room around, and am unable now to do this. I have a Sky SB601 wireless booster, does this work with Sky Q? If not, does anyone have any other suggestions please?

The 601 is the booster to match the 2013 Sky Hub (SR102) and so pre-dates Sky Q (2016 onwards)

If you log a Q television problem with Sky, they should loan a Q wireless booster.

Hi @BazLoz77

No that booster does not work with Sky Q or the newer routers so it should not be used.

If you have changed from ethernet to WiFi on the Q box you'll first need to reset the network settings on your Sky Q box, then set it up as WiFi and connect it to your hub via WPS. Have you done this?

Re: Unable to connect

Hi @jamesn123

Thank you for your reply. I have not tried that, as just assumed it would automatically connect. Unfortunately I'm not very technical, so is this simple to do?

Re: Unable to connect

Hi @jamesn123

I have tried that option. There is not a reset option. The only option available is to connect via WPS. I have tried this, and the WPS flashes, but it's still not connecting. That's why I thought about the Wireless booster. Do I need to contact the Sky technical team?

@BazLoz77

If you use the 'Connect via Sky Broadband WiFi' and pressing the WPS button on both the Sky Q box & Router doesnt work then you may need to contact Sky about it.

Hi All

Thank you for your quick responses. I contacted Sky yesterday, and after 90 minutes with tech people on the phone, I'm connected!!
