Hi all
Had WiFi issues on and off for a while, poor and slow running but lived with it to a degree.
We run on Fibre with no near neighbours.
This morning, Wifi keeps on pausing or shtting down, plugged in laptop with a ethernet cable so a direct connection and the speeds are very slow, donw to as little as 10 MPS.
Sky checkers says +400 which cant be right or there is a problem with my Wiifi hardware (standard Sky one etc).
Thought I would post the stats on here, but when I add admin etc, just comes up with 401 Unauthorised ??? see below
I have reset the box, usual things all help appreciated, I have trid to call sky but as its wifi only calling here, and it keeps dropping out I cant hold a telehone conversation, i have tried 6 times already from 8 this morning !!! However laptop seems to be conected just soseems only option to comunicat with the outside world!!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@WelshCottage What credentials are you using on the router to try gain access? It is supposed to be username is " admin " without the quotes and your Wi-Fi password if you have not changed this already.

Admin as you say plus the usual password, tried a couple more time and failed. Just tried again and connected, very odd.... here are the stats:

Does not seem to be picking up the 5ghz?? is that the problem, we are on fibre etc

Did a speed test with both, the numbers are very similar, possibly points to a line probelm?

Yes but going back a while, yes meant to be ultrafast plus, I have run a couple of speedtests in the last hour and has improved, plug in direct but not great, dont get me wrong better than many but its never quite right

Are youtrying to login with an iPhone or iPad at all? If so there are known issues with this, you wiull need to try using Chrome or Firefox on the device
