URGENT - Internet Speed

Download - 73.1

Upload - 19.1

This may be the speed to my hub, but when working on the computer (5m away with no obstructions) it takes forever to download a page in Chrome which I use daily and now the spinning wheel happens each time and with any site I try to access.  These are all sites I use almost daily so the difference is really apparent.   This started last week and seems to be getting worse, not better.

1.  Should I get the speed I pay for all the way to my computer, or are you charging me just to get the speed to my hub?

2.  How do we solve this problem?

Regards,

William H Mello

@William9X9X  Your paying for the sxpeed to the hiub as from the hib to other dievices can't be guaranteed.

How is your PC connected to the hub?  If wifi are you connecting over 2.4ghz (the slowest part of the network) or 5Ghz which offers higher speeds but lower coverage.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

All ISPs charge for cabled speed as far as their router, because the local wireless environment and the devices on which WiFi is being used are outside their control.  The figures you posted are at the top end of what FTTC can deliver.

Re: URGENT - Internet Speed

5ghz split into 2.4ghz, etc.  I have some devices which are older and cannot use d5ghz.

@William9X9X run a speed test on the PC as loading time for web pages can be affected bybother issues than network speed. If younhaven't already done so reboot your PC these days we all tend to put computers into sleep or hibernation mode forgetting  that a reboot can clear memory issues.
