Find out more@Cerby any fault is lijely to be coincidental with switching off the power but as any engineercwill tell you most devices choose to fail when powered up! Also there have been a lot of thunderstorms recently which do cause havoc with broadband routers so it is possible your hub needs replacing.
I am escalating your post to Sky so they can check your line. They will be in touch offering a chat through the forum saving you a call. Look out for a chat button appearing in the forum you will have 48 hours to start the chat before it disappears again..

Find out more@Cerby I mentioned storms a few million volts on the line cooks electronics wonderfully but anything of a of a hundred different things can cause electronics to fail. Sky will monitor mean failure rates but most like my own router will run for many years some like yours fail in a shorter time. Fortunately Sky replace them quite quickly.
