Nat type PlayStation

Hey.... has anyone found out how to change Nat type on PS4 I asked sky on Twitter they told me to post here so here.... and I know there are already post about it bit seems they aren't working for anyone....

Its not as simple as just 'Changing the NAT type' It depends on which game you are playing and how exactly your console is connected to the Sky hub

I'm connected via Ethernet cable no less than 5 meters away from the hub

Okay if its direct ethernet from Sky hub to your device with nothing inbetween then it should be as simple as getting the required ports from the game vendor and then fowarding those in your Sky hub

Whatever game you are playing will have a support page with the ports that the game uses. As well as playstation networks ports. 

 

Then you'll need to follow this guide to port forward them in the Sky hub

 

Is there a specific reason you are trying to do this? Usually you should not need to

Sorry got a little busy yeah it takes me forever to get into to a game or other people will get disconnected from me and another person who is also on moderate Nat type but I'll give it a go I found the game ports for my game

Also how would you do this via WiFi connection? The cable way worked out good

Should be the same process but you'll need to reserve the IP in the Sky hub again as your consoles WiFi adapter's MAC address will be different to the ethernet adapters MAC address
