Trying to get Sky broadband but order fails

Cosidering Sky broadband but ordering on internet fails, seems to think from my e-mail address is used by another customer. In deed I can log in as a customer but I have no services.

I left Sky years ago, does it mean old customers can't return?

@David382 If you login first can you try it that way, if not call to sky for ordering, always an issue when there is an e-mail existing on an old dormant account!

Phoned Sky and could not understand what was being said to me also the person could not understand my problem.

I repeated my call untill I had a person in the UK who I understand and they me.

They were able to get my old account and add  my returning possible.

Now I can get into the account I see it is £1 - 16 in credit.

Router as arrived next day and now I wait a few days for activation.

You know many people would have not bothered and gone to another provider.

@David382 Can no doubt be the case, and some off the CS are also not good, the script's they use just do not cut the mustard to say, had the same when i came back in Mar25 from my EE stint, 20 years a sky member, so had the old e-mail account/ID etc, first stumble block wife still use's that, so let's not mess it up, oops and off you go! Just had to go sort it out myself few trips along the way but got there in the end, the sky it should work sorry out off idea's is a leave it alone bye,bye! Anyhow glad it's all falling into place for you now!👍👍

Another question now.

Whilst doing my order the agent was unable to give me an assurance that my phone number would be transfered and it could be a new number.

If it is a new number when do I become aware of that?

 

I e-mailed Sky and their reply is phone [Removed] and ask to be put through to the Technical Team, of course I got a machine and I failed. 

Do you have a number for the Technical Team?
