“The speed to your hub could be faster”

I have just ran a test on my hub and it says it looks my hub has a problem

my speeds are below the minimum guarantee currently which is 44.1. My minimum guarantee is 45.5 apparently

we have just upgraded to the sky max hub which is on its way so I don't know if that's effecting that?

can anyone advise what the issue is? And engineer has been round and replaced the master socket which was old and speeds stayed at about 55mb for a while but it's constantly dropping

any advice or help would be really appreciated

@klaudiaaa

The speeds indicate FTTC broadband, which runs as electrical signalling over rather manky copper 'phone' cable and so is vulnerable to numerous potential fault conditions.

@klaudiaaa As you are new connection and having the sky Max hub, the Engineer would have advised you to keep the power on the hub and try not to be switching on/off until it works out the best connection for itself during it's first 10 day's.

You could run a line diagnostic but you may not see anything, the service checker should allow you see what has been going on for the daily report so look at both broadband > expand to see your history report!

Try running the line test here to see if any faults are found:

 can you look and say what you are currently using until you Max gets to you, hard to work out from your post if or if not you have it yet!
