Terrible experience with popular websites

I assumed this was somehow a dns issue, but changing DNS to cloudflare didn't help much. So it looks like sky network infrastructure routing is poor, on multiple occassions i have issues with opening popular webpages like messanger or youtube thinking that i'm offline, also some less popular webpages, sky says it could be their shield feature, which i have set to block only malware, i tried to add pages to the whitelist but it didn't help, turnin off also does not help, is there any configuration that can be done to fix this?

@whdck If there was a gdneral issue with sites such as You Tube or Messenger then the forum would have melted down. Certainly my own Sky connection is working properly.

Issues with Sky Broadband Shield can indeed block sites but if the issue happens when your device is using a public DNS like Cloudflare that can be ruled out - you need Sky's DNS for the filters to work. Therefore something else is going on.

To help determine what can you tell us what browser and device you are using and check if the issue follows if you switch browsers say on ios switch from Safari to Chrome.

Do you have internet security software running if so check the settings as those also run filters. Lastly does the You Tube app work?
