Terrible Broadband

Yet again, I sit down to watch football and the broadband is rubbish and slow and dropping out. Although Sky keep saying it's fine and getting speeds of 899m/**bleep**.

independent speed check say 40m/**bleep** at best.

No way of getting help or getting it sorted. Terrible. The worst broadband I've ever had. Sky this is shocking, Belive in Better??? I do but I think it's Virgin Media 🤷‍♂️

Is that an 'independent speed check' on a wireless device?

The Sky figure is for speed delivered to the Hub over optical fibre and ethernet cable, not WiFi from it.

@MCmk if your streaming device is getting a steady 40Mb/s you should be easily able to watch football. However if the WiFi signal is poor and affected by interference then streaming can be aweful. Improving the WiFi in your home is not expensive but assuming a single Sky hub will provide decent WiFi in every room is not sensible. You can buy Sky's WiFi Max bundle and ask for an extender (you can have up,to 3 but the estra units are only provided if an engineercagrees they are needed), buy your own WiFi equipment or use an Ethernet feed to the streaming unit which is the best technical solution.
