@MartinB_ To game you need a reasonably fast stable data feed which means WiFi is never the best choice. If running an Ethernet cable is impractical investigate buying a powerline networking kit which is often a good second choice assuming your home's mains wiring is reasonably good. Otherwise consider improving your home WiFi by getting extenders by paying monthly for Sky's WiFi Max bundle and asking for one or by buying your own WiFi set up which can be cheaper.
