Temporarily blocking certain devices from accessing the WiFi.

So, I would like to be able to easily and quickly, disable and re-enable  access to our WiFi for a couple of devices. Namely my son's PS5 and iPhone. I've accessed the router and looked at the wireless pages which shows me a list of connected devices, most of which say unknown due to Apple devices sending out a spoof MAC address. That is not the problem as I could work out what the spoof addresses relate to.

The problem I have is, I can't see how I can switch access on and off for particular devices.

is this even possible?

The Sky product intended for that purpose is the Parental Controls built into the new Max Hub, available by subscription to the Max WiFi broadband add-on.

There's no good way of doing so with previous Hub models now that the Sky 'Broadband Buddy' doesn't exist anymore.

Hi Timmy

Thank you for your reply, sadly the new Max Hub is not compatible with my basic SKY unlimited broadband package. I would love to upgrade to a full fibre superfast package but it's not yet available in my area and I'm on the fastest connection currently possible. This is despite living in London EC1, I couldn't be more central.

As far as we know, Max is available nationwide and is entirely compatible with FTTC.  However it's not currently available where an address lookup shows the household has Sky Q television with Mini boxes.
