Tell me about these socket

アパートに引っ越しました。 壁にコンセントがあります。エンジニアが来ることになっていますが、リモートアクティベーションに変更できますか?

@Amy1110

Those are 'telephone' sockets for a broadband connection over copper cabling.  If you are due to get an FTTP (optical) installation as part of the national rollout then they cannot be used and a remote activation is inappropriate.

The lower image is of a prefiltered master socket with separate ports for data and voice, while the upper image is an internal voice extension socket.

Re: Tell me about these socket

@Amy1110 Master 5C socket best to use for the fttc copper based broadband, depending on what/when you may find that the telephone socket on the right is out off commision and voice is delevered via the back of the Sky Router.

The other socket is a single input telephone, depending on the internal's of the socket, could also be just an extension socket if in the same premises, similar it may not be working as depending what/when the service was connected.

On a new fttc connection then ladline is no longer delivered to the socket's your master 5c will be ok but only on the left hand connection RJ11 socket to connect to a VDSL router.

Any other questions just ask.👍
