Splitting wi-fi network performance

Hi, we just recently moved to sky stream/puck and as a result all of our wiFi plugs and lights no longer work.

I'm non techy but a quick search tells me

i need to split my router output. My question is will splitting my router output affect the performance of my sky streaming and on the performance of any other devices/TVs in the house?

In a nutshell

- Log onto router and go to wifi
- Go to 5ghz band and untick synchronise 2.4ghz and 5ghz
- Go to 5ghz ssid and add -5g at the end
- Save
- Go to individual devices and assign wifi band accordingly

I think its more likely the browser or that you're not using an ethernet device

Can you use an ethernet device using chrome

If that doesn't work try resetting the hub by holding down the reset button for 20 seconds and try again

Seperate the wifi as below

And it will not affect streaming 👍

Re: Splitting wi-fi network performance

Thanks, but when I follow the step by step, an unsynchronise the two networks, once I hit apply it goes to a 'page not found'. is there a complete novice guide?

Re: Splitting wi-fi network performance

Sorted thanks. The trick was not to use an apple device to make the changes.

Forgot to mention that. All things apple including safari seem to disagree with sky hubs
