Re: Solid orange voice on router, no wifi

Just called sky and again discussed the issue.  It was escalated but needed more info and no one called me to tell me this.  Got enginner on Saturday to look at it all, but im not holding much hope.  Again they seem to think it could be one of my devices causing the issue or an Openreach issue

Re: Solid orange voice on router, no wifi

So update for you all, it has been a while.  I had eng visit on 01/07 and he started to agree was not my issue.  Unplugged everything and gave it 10 mions and rebooted router, called someone who then checked and said its my indoor wifi camrea causing the issue due to the way it is verifying via IPV6 which i didnt believe, anyway changed a setting and said see how it goes and if dropped again then change it back and change a diffrent setting (Cant remember what it was).  It happned again 2 weeks or so ago so changed the setting, and had a drop yesterday morning.  Called them up yesterday and they agreed to stop my early contract termination fee so i can leave or switch.  Done a switch today to another provider and so they will be active in a couple of weeks.  Shame it came down to this

Re: Solid orange voice on router, no wifi

The public IP address DHCP lease expiring has been an issue for many for a long time, even I had the issue when I was with Sky some years ago. It has to do with Sky's infrastructure and a fault on their main DHCP servers...

Re: Solid orange voice on router, no wifi

I've seen on the log from the router the lease expiring and can see that happening all the time, that doesn't seem to be causing the issue though. Other issues with the compatibility of the router with apple devices, its just ridiculous. The engineer in July said they get given android phones to work with for that reason

Re: Solid orange voice on router, no wifi

But if the router has issues with idevices logging into the router settings, or the Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting on idevices and won't stay connected when reconnects, this has resulted in using mobile data instead of Wi-Fi. Shouldn't have to have android device or a pc to be able to change the settings. Doesn't sound very compatible
