Software issues on sky max hub router

A few days ago I decided to factory reset my sky max hub as I was having trouble getting my smart tv to connect to my router

Since factory resetting the hub I noticed significantly Lower speeds and drop connection from multiple devices

I have since factory reset the router a second time to see if that would resolve any issues but it has not,

I am still experiencing drop outs and reconnections on multiple mobile devices and my iPad.

I have tried a few times to turn the router on and off  at the wall this hasn’t worked either. While my speed checker app shows a fast connection I have been experiencing slow load times across apps and web pages I have also tried resetting network settings in both mobile devices this hasn’t worked either.

Have contacted sky three times but not getting anywhere... we seem to think this is an software issue when it updates sky aren't very helpful anyone experiencing the same

@Nicmac74 when you factory reset the hub will probably need to uodate the firmware which can take several days as Sky control the update schedule as there is no user control. If you want a router you can control use a third party unit as the SR213 is heavily locked down and Sky decline to document firmware features..

In practice the most likely cause of a smart TV not connecting is down to the TV not liking Sky's default WiFi security setting of WPA3-T try going into the Hub's advanced settiings in the My Sky app and down grading the WiFi security to WOA2 which Samsung `tVs amongst others seem to require. That change is likely to be required after a factory reset.
