Slow to connect to vpn, phone is also slow through WiFi

Ethernet connected work laptop is slow to connect to vpn in the mornings, says UDP port is blocked. Also internet is slow on my phone on the sky wifi, better on mobile data. Seeing lots of events on the router firewall page.
