Slow speed

Anybody else having trouble with the speed of there broadband or dropping I have done  test checks and have had an engineer out from outreach just checked the line and said everything was fine got a new router still losing speed and keeps buffering done a broadband check again and it has come up there is a fault outside again booked an engineer from outreach don't know if they have checked supposed to let me know not heard anything thing and again today done another check and again had to book another engineer it says it the is outside I wonder if I will hear anything this time I am so angry thinking of leaving sky they have got worse you have to try to do it all yourself the amount you pay for this **bleep** they should send an there own engineers out

Outside of your property Openreach own and therefore maintain the network so if there is a fault outside somewhere then Sky has no jurisdiction to carry out the repair.

I had Sky Fibre 300 installed on Monday and have been getting speeds of 320 since, until around 2pm this afternoon when it dropped to 12 mbps. Reset my router and ONT which has made it range from 100 to 150 which is still nowhere near what I'm paying for. Rang Sky and they claimed my connection was running perfectly so are refusing to book an engineer to come out and check it.

@gibbo1967 As an example i have FF500 fibre, and a Samsung A54 mobile, when it decides it's not going to play anymore and it is only this one stupid phone, then from 500mb/s it is 12mb/s and that is for ever until i switch wifi off and then back on in the phone, and back up to 500mb/s it goes, until it decides again, that can be hours or day's stupid thing....

 

Speed is up and down depending on the network so on a FF500, anything from 200 to 500mb/s is fine as far as i am concerend, cover's all the needs for getting what is required.

Thanks very much for the advice. Just been on with Sky through the messaging service and they're saying they've now found a fault. It's been passed on to the network team who will contact me in 72 hours.
