Slow broadband speeds
We are having issues with the speed of our broadband! We are suppose to be 500 MB at the moment we are having problems as it's only showing at 242 MB ! We did what the help page said move out to an open space and not near other electronics etc!
I need a machine for my Sleep Apnoea, it's a CPAP Machine and my husband has other serious machines so he has a device on him that gives a signal to a machine to Social Work Department as he has health issues that make him fall etc, go out the door! So I need this to be attatched to Internet 24 hrs per day!

You should be getting 500 (there or thereabouts) at the Sky hub. In my situation I can measure the speed via an internal test or with an ethernet cable to a laptop.
The 242 speed is likely to be WiFi... which I would think would be more than sufficient for your current and future needs. WiFi speeds and strenth deteriotes for a number of reasons but it is easily improved IMHO.
Best of luck

Hi
its 242 again today!
My daughter just checked it with an Ethernet cable to laptop!
I really rely on this and some rooms get it some time but we can have 2 rooms without!
So we need a booster! I can't even get my gas or electric smart meters through it.

Re: Slow broadband speeds
Ok, you will need to contact Sky directly with respect to extenders and the speed to the hub. This is a customer forum.
Best of luck

If it is only getting around 242Mbps to the hub then you'd need to talk to Sky directly about that. The wifi to the rest of the house is a separate matter.
Firstly, unplug the hub for 10 minutes and then reboot, hopefully a channel rescan will find a less congested wifi channel. Also, make sure the router is in a central position, so not stuck in the farthest corner or under the stairs.
Have a look at the following to see if they can resolve your problem easily if no success with the above, you can also use the MySky app. If not you may need to consider either the Sky WiFi Max add-on package or perhaps purchasing a 3rd party mesh system (which remains yours regardless of ISP used and would be my own personal choice).
