E-mail from Sky about HUB

Hi, anyone else recieved an e-mail from Sky (pretty sure its genuine) stating that they need to upgrade their hub / router as wef 31/12/2025 it will no longer recieve service and security updates? The title of the email is 'AN UPDATE ON YOUR BROADBAND HUB'

The full email is shown below-

An update on your broadband hub

Hello,

At Sky we’re always looking to bring the latest innovative technology to our customers. As we do this, we’re always making improvements to our infrastructure to enhance both its reliability and performance.

In 2022, the UK government published a new security framework to make the UK’s telecommunications infrastructure more resilient.

In line with government guidance, we wanted to let you know while your hub continues to keep you connected to the internet, it no longer receives service and security updates. To review your options, including how to update or change your hub, visit our portal here. You’ll need to have your Sky ID and password ready to log in.

Thank you for continuing to choose Sky

Re: E-mail from Sky about HUB

Many thanks GD1, the link takes me to my account but wont let me order a new hub as it says i have an order already being processed, all very starnge. Surely, if they know I need a new router just send it out with a covering letter. Anyway I will wait a while and see what happens but as it stands its not letting me order a replacement and states mine will be ok until 31/12/25. Thanks for the update though.
