Slow WiFi , drops out and poor WiFi range

My home WiFi is slow and often droppes out meaning we have to reboot, the coverage for the WiFi is also very poor and we have tried moving the main router about but the range is still poor.

is there any other option of a better router to help improve WiFi performance?
