Slow Internet speeds

We had fibre installed last week. We should be seeing speeds of up to 5gb but we are only getting under 100mb Please advise Thanks

@Jackyork therecsre several possible reasons for lower speeds. 

Firstly if devices only ever show speeds up to 95Mb/s even when using Ethernet or WiFi when close to the hub check the cable from your new ONT to the hub as if that is damaged it cannot handle the higher speeds your new service can deliver. Reblacing it with a new cable is pretty easy as you can buy Ethernet cables pretty much anyehere.

 

Second if spedds over WiFi are lower it can beccaused by where the hub is situated just like a light it neds to be off the floor out in the open so nit under other equipment. You may need an extender to getvreasonable spedds in every room if you have boughtva Gigabit+ service Sky will supply these at no cost.

 

There is a very small chancecthecservice has been misconfigured but the daily speed test in Service Checker in the My Sky app will show thst if thst has happened.
