Slow Broadband with multiple disconnections

Over the last few days, I have encountered problems with my broadband connection. The internet has been disconnecting and reconnecting several times throughout the day. Currently, my internet speed has decreased from a download rate of 3-4 Mbps to 800 Kbps. Upon conducting a speed test, I was taken aback to find it registering at 8.1 Mbps. This is peculiar, as my connection is supposed to be  4.5 Mbps, and my downloads are not reflecting this speed.

That suggests an extremely poor line at the best of times, so is likely to be subject to further disruption.

If you post your Hub stats, we'll have some information about your particular phone line and internet connection to work with.
