Sky Max isnt limited by location, the only limiting factor is if you have Sky Q with more than one node

Re: Sky wifi max location avaliabilty

According to sky it is. First i was told it was because I have Sky Q which is fine, and when i was on the phone to them to change to sky glass they said it is not available because of where i am, even though as a "new" customer it is

It'll likely be because your on Sky Q though. I suspect if you moved to Sky Glass then after that was completed, requested Sky Max they would let you order it

That is what im thinking, but they keep telling me it based on location. Got that from 3 different advisors and only 1 said if i had/get sky glass or stream i would be able to get it

If Sky has a record of there being Q television with more than one Q Mini box (or a Q booster) at the address then the option to sell Max is unavailable.

My guess is it's the result of inadequate staff awareness and a very unhelpful database message generated by their sales system.

'Not available at the location' is technically correct, but fairly useless as information...

My usual thought is that Glass may be worth it if you really like the design aesthetic of the set, value the speaker array or need the credit terms: otherwise look at Sky Stream with the television set of your choice.  Glass is approaching three years old and still alarmingly expensive, QLED rather than OLED and not particularly versatile.

I like the tv, we are looking to replace the tv downstairs as its old so was thinking along that route, and to be able to get sky wifi max to mange kids devices

Thanks

Fair enough: I just thought I'd mention there are undoubtedly 'better' sets available for the same or even lower cost for use with a Stream puck.

Re: Sky wifi max location avaliabilty

@TimmyBGood  oh yeah there is especially for the price. I did also look at sky stream but seemed to get a better deal on tv and broadband packages with sky glass
