Re: Sky outage Blaenau gwent
Openreach will be really stretched after the recent storms so inevitably there will be additional delays.
In case you aren’t already aware, the following link explains the Ofcom agreed auto compensation scheme which Sky operates for when there is a TOTAL loss of Sky Broadband or Sky Talk.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/auto-compensation
If you have a total loss of service and it isn’t fixed after two full WORKING days from when you notify Sky of the fault, you will become eligible for it. It’s applied 30 days after the fault has been repaired and will come in the form of a credit appearing on your Sky account (from 01/04/24 the rates are £9.76 per day).

Same situation but outage in Llangollen area. No phone or broadband and no help to date. No we have an open reach engineer booked but can't find out when they're coming as can only get online when I'm out of the village. No mobile either.

If it's a wider outage they might not visit your address individually. Openreach aim to fix faults in 2 working days from being notified and claim to achieve that in 80%+ of the time but following the recent extreme weather there will be inevitable delays.

Sky internet out in Malvern since Sunday afternoon. Nightmare when you are rural, work from home and everything runs off the internet.
Tried to get in touch with Sky yesterday and got cut off after being on hold for 30 minutes.

Re: Sky outage Blaenau gwent
Storm Darragh caused a lot of damage to the Openreach network not to mention blown a lot of satellite dishes around which has resulted in a significant increase in people calling Sky. If you run the service checker in the My Sky app over a mobile connection it should tell you if Sky are aware of an issue affecting your line. If it doesnt you need to persevere with trying to get through to Sky.
